Kayaking - Small Craft Warning

Last night we paddled out of the Coast Guard Beach where the small craft warning flag was flying. As we neared the mouth of the harbor, the larger swell was evident. The marine forecast was calling for 6' to 9' swell and 15-30kt winds. The wind was pretty strong but the swell didn't seem to reach any more than 5 or 6'. We played it safe and didn't stray far from the harbor but went south toward Big Arch Rock for maybe 1/2 mi or so. It was a fun paddle with lots of bracing required as the swell and wind waves tossed us around. Everybody stayed right-side-up.
