I had a good time kayaking last night! The photo below is of a fun little spot near the mouth of Newport Harbor called Pirate's Cove. The tide was just high enough last night that you could find a path through the rocks when a swell came in, but it would leave you high and dry between swells. We played here for a while and then headed out to the buoy outside the harbor where we played in the considerable swell before getting out of the way of some tugs with a barge in-tow. It was a good night of paddling!
